Webinar on 'Where are we heading- Cancer Information and awareness' and 'The Impact of Diabetes' in Karpagam College

Coimbatore: The Red Ribbon Club and Youth Red Cross of Karpagam Institute of Technology hosted a Webinar on “Where are we heading- Cancer Information and awareness” and “The Impact of Diabetes”on November 14, 2022. The students and Faculty members participated in this webinar through Google meet.

The session was handled by the Resource persons Dr.S.Jamuna Rani, M.D., ACME., Professor and HOD, Department of Pathology, Bhaarath Medical College and Hospital, Chennai and Dr.E.Seshathri, M.D., Pharmacology, Associate Professor in Department of Pharmacology, Bhaarath Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. The Resource persons gave awareness about the cancer and the impact of diabetes.

This webinar gave an insight about the spread of cancer, burden of cancer and identifying the different types of cancer. The resource person cleared the different myths related to cancer. The next session on impact of diabetes dealt with the risk factors of diabetes and the ways of preventing it.

The session was very interactive and helped our students and faculty to know about the cancer and the impact of diabetes. The webinar ended with Q&A session from the students. B.Haripriya, final year student from Electronics and Communication Engineering delivered the vote of thanks.
