Dr. R. Dhandapani, Senior Scientist, Nanaji Deshmukh Plant Phenomics Facility, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi gave a lead lecture on “Phenomics approaches and Technologies to sustain Grain yieldâ€.
Coimbatore: The Department of Crop Physiology, Directorate of Crop Management, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University organized a two days training programme on “Applying Phenomic Technology in Photosynthesis Research†for third year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture and B.Tech. (Biotech) students.
Dr. A. Senthil, Professor and Head, Department of Crop Physiology welcomed the gathering. Dr. S.D. Sivakumar, Professor and Co-Ordinator Institutional Development Plan - Agricultural Higher Education Project (IDP–NAHEP Scheme), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University presided over the inaugural function and gave his felicitation.
He highlighted the importance of innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills in young generation to build their career. He also spoke on the new National educational policy and managerial aspects in non-academic skill development.
