Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII) organized one day programme on “Inauguration of IEDP-Agri Hub, Agri Startup Products Exhibition – Demo-day and awareness on Innovation Voucher Programme (IVP)†at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII) organized one day programme on “Inauguration of IEDP-Agri Hub, Agri Startup Products Exhibition – Demo-day and awareness on Innovation Voucher Programme (IVP)†on 29th September 2022 at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore.
Dr.E.Somasundaram, Director (ABD), Directorate of Agribusiness Development, TNAU welcomed the gatherings and explained about the need for IEDP-Agri Hub.
R.Muthuraman, Additional Director (FAC), EDII, Chennai in his felicitation address explained about the different programmes of EDII, Innovation Voucher Programme (IVP) and its promotional activities.

Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor, TNAU, Coimbatore inaugurated Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Programme (IEDP) – Agri Hub and the Agri startup products exhibition – Demo Day for the benefit of students.

In her inaugural address, she stressed the students to start their own agribusiness ventures rather than seeking the jobs. The opportunities are plenty and students should focus on thought provoking creative ideas. Madam Vice chancellor distributed the innovation grant of Rs.6.30 lakhs to six beneficiaries of IVP grantees of Technology BusinessIncubator (TBI).
Also, an amount of Rs. 48 lakhs to EDII-Killikulam Agribusiness Incubation Forum (KABIF) and EDII-Periyakulam Horti Business Incubation Forum (PHBIF). About 500 participants including students, startups, innovators, scientists, Deans and Principals of constituent and affiliated colleges of TNAU from all ovr Tamilnadu participated the event.
Innovative products produced by startups and IVP members were displayed in the exhibition at Anna auditorium. Finally, Dr.D.Suresh kumar, Director, CARDS, TNAU, Coimbatore proposed the vote of thanks.
