Scheme to provide guidance to 8,588 students who have completed 12th Standard but have not pursued higher education

This scheme will contact the students who have completed plus two and have not applied for any higher education, one by one, separately. It is proposed to provide relevant higher education guidance and suggestions from the Directorate of State Planning.

Coimbatore: The school education department has issued an order to send a list of students who have completed plus two and have not applied for any higher education.

It is planned to contact every student who is not pursuing higher education and issue guidance.

Have the students who completed class 12 in government-aided schools in the academic year 2021-2022 completed their higher education in 2022-23? If there are students who do not pursue higher education, this program will find out the reason for it and help to solve the issue. They were also asked to provide necessary guidance for pursuing higher education.

Subsequently, out of the details of 79,762 students received, it was found that 8,588 students did not apply for any higher education.

In this regard, the state project director of the school education department, In a letter addressed to the Chief Educational Officers in all the districts, R. Sudhan said, @It is proposed to contact the students individually and provide appropriate higher education guidelines and suggestions from the State Planning Directorate.

Therefore, in addition to the details obtained in the meeting held on 26th August last year, the Students' Educational Management Information System (EMIS), Education District, Marks. The missing information, including the telephone number, should be obtained from the schools and provided. The letter also requested the Chief Educational Officers of all the districts to carry out this work on a pilot basis and obtain the details and send it to the State Planning Directorate in the prescribed form.”

In line with the golden phrase that education is the best of all the wealth, a state that is educationally backward cannot make progress in anything else. Just as the government's "Doorstep Education" programme, which was brought in by the government, thishas received a lot of support among the people, which requires all to pursue higher education.

However, most of the students said that the reason why they are not pursuing higher education is due to lack of funds. The public is of the opinion that only a small number of people will not pursue higher education willingly.
