Young Indians Coimbatore Chapter organises ‘Futurepreneur Conclave’ at city's Hindusthan Arts and Science College

'Futurepreneur Conclave' was the city’s first and one-of-a-kind Pan Regional Entrepreneurship Summit in which over 1000 students from various colleges across the city participated.


Coimbatore: The Young Indians Coimbatore Chapter organised the city’s first and one-of-a-kind Pan Regional Entrepreneurship Summit aptly titled 'Futurepreneur Conclave.'

The grand event was organised at the Hindusthan Arts and Science College with over 1000 students from various colleges across the city in attendance.



The Conclave kick-started in style with the Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation, M Prathap addressing the students on the importance of entrepreneurship and highlighting the fact that patience is the most crucial skill that every entrepreneur must possess.

His speech was followed by the address of the Entrepreneurship Chair of Yi, Shanmugam, CEO of www.baceindia.com who explained that the Futurepreneur Conclave was envisioned with the idea of fostering the culture of Entrepreneurship amongst students who are the future leaders of India.

Shrikumaravelu, Chair of Yi Coimbatore Chapter and Managing Partner of Tekmak Industrial encouraged the students not to be disappointed by failures, and to keep persevering and working towards their dreams till they succeed.

The Key Note Address was delivered by the Mission Director and CEO of StartUp TN, Sivarajah Ramanathan who spoke about the various business opportunities present in the State today, and the various resources and support extended by the Government to upcoming start-ups and entrepreneurs.

Anish Basu Roy, Co-Founder and CEO of Tagz Foods spoke about The Modern Start-Up story – the growth trajectory of a modern day start-up, and what every entrepreneur needs to take care of, before venturing into business.

Satishkumar T, Founder and Managing Director of Milkymist Dairy Foods Pvt. Ltd shared his 'Rags to Riches' story of how he decided to quit schooling to pursue his passion of entrepreneurship, how he managed to turn around a very small scale neighbourhood business into a Rs.1500 crore organisation with his facility at Erode being Asia's largest producer of paneer.

M Somasundaram, Managing Director of Amman, TRY Steels Pvt. Ltd shared his inspiring entrepreneurial journey of how he started working at his father's scrap yard for a salary of Rs.5 to successfully running a Rs. 1000 crore company today. He shared instances of how he had his back up against the wall several times and fought back against great odds and encouraged the students to never back down.

The inspiring Summit concluded with the closing remarks from the Yuva Chair, Vaishnavi Jannani, Director at Trinetra Wireless who encouraged the students to dream big and pursue entrepreneurship.
