The resource persons from the EEE Dept. of SSN College of Engineering in Chennai highlighted the main objectives of Intellectual Property Laws and explained Intellectual Property Laws for Intellectual Property Protection and various Intellectual Property Rights.
Coimbatore: The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Karpagam Institute of Technology in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council hosted a webinar on 'Case Study of Intellectual Property Laws' on July 29, in which the students and faculty participated with great enthusiasm.

The webinar's sessions were handled by the resource persons Dr. R Seyezhai and Dr. S Suresh Kumar, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SSN College of Engineering in Chennai. The resource persons highlighted the main objectives of Intellectual Property Laws and explained Intellectual Property Laws for Intellectual Property Protection and various Intellectual Property Rights.

The webinar was an eye-opener for students interested in innovating their products and filing patents for them. The resource persons elucidated the current state of research and practice, explored the directions for future work, and also provided opportunities for collaboration. The Intellectual Property Laws were clearly explained with the examples of certain case studies.

The webinar helped in creating awareness of IPR and motivated the participants to bring new ideas and concepts related to the profession that helps to create an impact on society. The sessions were interactive and helped KIT students and faculty to gain insight into 'Intellectual Property Laws.' The webinar ended with a Q&A session for students to interact with the resource persons.
