TNAU's student exchange program will continue for five years and 10 students will benefit.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore signed an MoU with the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia to facilitate an exchange program for PG students, for capacity-building in academic activities.
A high-level delegation headed by Prof. Ren Yi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), USQ visited TNAU and signed an MoU to initiate a student exchange program called “Cotutelle Program” between TNAU and USQ on June 24.
The “Cotutelle Ph.D. Program” will enable the student to conduct research at two universities. Upon completion of this program, the student will receive two doctoral degrees from TNAU and USQ. This will enhance the chances of employment to Indian students in Australia.
Above all TNAU will strengthen its capacity on climate modelling, weather forecasting and crop insurance. The student exchange program will continue for five years and 10 students will benefit from this program.
