Vice-Chancellor, Dr. V Geethalakshmi initiated the student admission process for Masters in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University for the year 2022-23 and for Doctoral Studies.
Coimbatore: The student admission process for a postgraduate degree and doctoral studies has commenced at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore.
TNAU offers postgraduate courses in 32 departments and doctoral courses in 28 departments.
The TNAU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. V Geethalakshmi initiated the process for admission of students for a postgraduate degree and doctoral studies for the 2022-23 academic year. Students can apply online to join these courses starting Monday, June 27 till August 8.
Dr. V Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU says, "Applications for admission to postgraduate and doctoral courses from today can be applied online. Students can apply through Provisional Certificate to apply this time, and students who are also studying can get a letter from the college Principal or Director and apply.
Applications will be processed on August 11, with a mock exam on August 27 and an entrance exam on August 28. The final list for admission will be prepared in the second week of September. Admission of students will begin in the third week of September. There are 400 seats available for postgraduate and 200 seats for doctoral studies this year."
"A global seminar is scheduled to be held on July 19 and 20 at TNAU. 100 students who have discovered new inventions in the interest of farmers will have the opportunity to give a brief presentation on their invention. There is a need to find entrepreneurs. In addition, TNAU has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Australia to study climate change. Scientists from TNAU will go to Australia and scientists from there will come to Tamil Nadu to study.
Also, research students studying in TNAU for the first time have been contracted to study at the University of Australia for a year. Accordingly, two students per year and 10 students every five years are expected to do research abroad," announced Dr. V Geethalakshmi.
