In Tirupur, 21,039 people have applied to write the exam. 120 people have been appointed as Supervisors, in the position of Revenue Analyst, to oversee the selection process.
Tirupur: On behalf of the Tamil Nadu Civil Service Selection Board, Group - 2 and 2 'A' competitive examination will be held today (Saturday) in Tiruppur district.
In Tirupur district 21 thousand, 39 people have applied to write the exam. The examination is conducted in 57 schools, colleges and 69 centers.
Eleven 'Mobile Teams' comprising of Deputy Collector level officers has been formed to monitor the selection process. 10 flying squads have also been formed, comprising revenue officers.
72 video cameramen have been appointed to monitor the selection process. 120 people have been appointed as Supervisors, in the position of Revenue Analyst, to oversee the selection process.
When the competitive examination takes place, the examination centers are set up circle wise. For Group-2 examination, the centers were set up only in Tirupur North, Tirupur South and Dharapuram taluka.
Selection centers were set up at Nanjappa Men's High School and various government schools and private schools in Tirupur. Candidates were advised to come to the examination centers by 8:30 am.
Thus the selectors came to the examination centers enthusiastically from 7:30 am. The ID cards of the candidates were then checked by the examination supervisors and allowed inside the examination center.
While many of the women had come to the examination centers with their children, they left the children to their relatives and parents to write the examination.
Thus many as relatives of the selectors were waiting outside the examination centers. Similarly, police security was put up at the examination centers.
