Coimbatore: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Karpagam Engineering College organized one day workshop on “Linux Essentials for Cyber Securityâ€, on the 11th of this month.
The sessions were handled by Mr.S.Suresh Kanan, CEO, School of Linux, and an Authorized Red Hat Partner at Madurai division, and Mr.R.Naveen Kumar, Senior Corporate Trainer, School of Linux, Red Hat Academy, Madurai Division.

The students gained invaluable knowledge in the operations of the Linux system, network administration, open-source security tools, Bash scripting, and Linux commands from a real hacker's perspective. They also received an orientation on Linux Certification- RHCSA & RHCE.
A total of 64 students attended this workshop, and they acquired in-depth knowledge regarding the Linux operating system. The students
gained further knowledge in basic Linux commands, network security commands, file permission, and scripting commands in the hands-on session. Students were motivated to take part in Linux certification programs such as RHCSA and RHCA.
