Coimbatore: The Karpagam Academy of Higher education conducted an endowment lecture on ‘Nature Inspired Science and Technology’ on the occasion of National Science Day on 28th February.
An Endowment Lecture was organized as part of National Science Day celebrations by the Department of Science and Humanities and IIC-KAHE on February 28, 2022 at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore. In connection with that, the Department of Science and Humanities conducted various competitions like working model, replica using ice sticks, slogan writing, pencil sketching for the student of KAHE.
Dr. M. Deivanayaki, Head, Department of Science and Humanities, Faculty of Engineering welcomed the gathering. Dr.G.K.D.Prasanna Venkatesan, Dean, Faculty of Engineering presided over the programme and delivered the presidential address.
The Resource Person Dr Arivuoli Dakshanamoorthy, CChem FRSC FICS, Professor, Crystal Growth Centre (UGC-National Facility for Crystal Growth) Anna University, Chennai, delivered the lecture on “Nature Inspired Science and Technology’’. In his speech, he highlighted about the nanoscale technology whose convergence is based on material unity of nature, data analysis, Artificial Intelligence and fourth industrial revolution. Fundamentals of nanoscience and technology in future applications were discussed with students and faculties. Students were highly motivated with his inspirational speech.
Dr. C. Selvamani, Professor, Department of Science and Humanities, Faculty of Engineering delivered the vote of thanks. The program was held between 2 to 3 pm on 28th February, in which about 93 students and 7 faculties participated.
