Coimbatore: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), Karpagam University, recently hosted a webinar on Food Start-up Guidance. The webinar highlighted the struggles such start-ups face and the methods to succeed past the hurdles.
The IIC-KAHE has organized a “Webinar on Food Business Start-up Guidance†on 25th January.
Dr. P. Karthik, Associate Professor and Head/FT/KAHE was assigned as the Convenor and V. Geethakaviya Assistant Professor/FT/KAHE served as the organizing secretary. The hour-long webinar on “Food Business Startup Guidance†was conducted on 25th January, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, by the Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education.
The welcome address was delivered by V. Geethakaviya AP/FT/KAHE.

The guest of honor, Suresh Radhakrishnan, Founder and Chief Tea Officer, Chai Kanth, Chennai , Tamil Nadu delivered a keynote address on ‘ Guidance of Food Business Start-up’.

The session was attended by a total of 75 participants. The speaker provided insights on the start-ups and encouraged the students to implement their own ideas. The chief guest gave detailed notes on start-ups, hurdles in the initial periods and how to attain success in their respective fields.
Questions raised by the participants were clarified by the guest during the question-answer session. Vote of thanks was delivered by D. Siva Janika. Feedback form of the session was circulated to the participants in the meeting chat. The e-certificates were distributed to all the participants.
