Eligibility criteria and time period stipulated in ICAI's official statement.
Coimbatore: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced exemption of fee for students who have lost either of their parents to the pandemic, pursuing CA courses.
The registration fee of all CA Courses, viz., ICITSS [consisting of Information Technology (IT) and Orientation Course (OC)] and AICITSS (consisting Advanced Information Technology (Advanced TT) and Management and Communication Skills (MCS) Course] will be waived for the applicants who have lost parents. The time period stipulated is between April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2023.
The ICAI has demanded the following documents to facilitate fee waive:
1. Documents required for registration stipulated for the particular course
2. Death Certificate, ID proof of the mother or father, as the case may be attested by the authorized person
The authorized person as follows:
1. DCOs Heads/Regional Heads/Officer-in-charge of the Branch.
2. Principal under whom such student is registered for Articleship
3. Central Council Member / Regional Council Member / Managing Committee Member of the Branch
As regards waiving of the ICITSS and AICITSS fees, if a student fails to submit forms in the specified period, he/she shall separately submit forms attested with the Death Certificates and ID proof of whichever parent was lost, with the signature of the following authorities:
1. DCOs Heads/Regional Heads/Officer-in-charge of the Branch.
2. Principal under whom such student is registered for Articleship.
3. Central Council Member / Regional Council Member / Managing Committee Member of the Branch.
The students who apply for the above exemption shall register through the site www.icai.org
No student shall pay the fee at the time of provisional registration. If found any student is not eligible for the above-mentioned exemption, the forms submitted by the student shall be rejected and considered null and void.
