Student Safety Advisory Committee to be formed and dress code notice for students: Government imposes regulations for all school online classes

Coimbatore: The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued rules to dress modestly in school online classes. A Rules Preparation Committee, headed by the Commissioner of School Education, was set up to regulate online way classes for school students. The Government has approved the terms and conditions prepared by this Committee. Those details were released yesterday.

Terms issued in the notice

Government regulations apply to schools that follow all syllabi. Student safety advisory committees will be set up in schools. The committee will consist of two members each, the head teacher, the teacher, the parent teacher association, one non-teaching staff member and one non-school outsider. A statewide control center and telephone and e-mail facility will be set up within a month to report complaints. The Student Safety Advisory Committee must report their complaint to the State Control Center.

Appropriate action will be taken from this center. The center's communications will be kept confidential. In the online class, teachers and students have to dress modestly to suit the classroom environment. The online class event should be fully recorded and researched. A safety box will be set up on the school premises.

The Student Safety Advisory Committee will review feedback received from students and take action. The record will be maintained to register complaints. Child Abuse Prevention Week will be observed from November 15to 22
