Coimbatore PSGR Krishnammal College for women does city proud; rated 10th in Central HRD Ministry ranking
Coimbatore: PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore has been placed at 10th position among all the colleges in India in ranking by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ran by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
In the NIRF-2020 listing released by the Union HRD Minister on June 11, the college is ranked 10th in the country, 3rd in Tamil Nadu and 1st in Coimbatore.
Addressing the media, Dr Nandini Rangaswamy, Chairperson, PSGR Krishnammal College for women added, "this is a great achievement for our college. We haven't done anything special to get this rank, but we as an institution meet these parameters routinely and our persistent commitment to academic excellence and innovative programmes offered to the students have helped us reach the top 10 in the entire nation."
"The ranking would help our students directly or indirectly. Our enriched curriculum and our teaching and learning practices have helped us register a marked improvement on the scores under Teaching, Learning and Resources. Graduation outcome score has increased due to remarkable improvement in academic performance of our students," added Dr Yeshoda Devi, Secretary.
The Chairperson on behalf of the management team extended her gratitude to all the stakeholders – trustees, members of the college committee and governing body, industry, academic & international collaborative partners, parents, alumni, students, faculty, administrative and supporting staff – for their unstinted support, encouragement and inspiration.
Dr S Nirmala, Principal of the College, Dr Nandini Rangaswamy, Chairperson, Dr N Yesodha Devi, Secretary, and Prof. S.Balasubramanian, Director were present at the meeting.
