Water-logging and flooding of roads cause hardship to motorists and pedestrians.

Even though the wide spread rains which slashed parts of Coimbatore including Gandhipuram, Ukkadam, Railway station and Singanllaur brought cheers to the city denizens, they were put to much hardship due to water-logging and flooding in vital junctions all over the city.

As rains slashed the city, the some of the arterial roads were water-logged. Water-logging and flooding of roads is witnessed near Railway station and in some other low-lying areas of the city, as sewers overflowed causing hardship to both motorists and pedestrians.

“Indeed, the rain has been a blessing and the drinking water sources are fast filling up. We hope the city water supply system, which went for a toss during the summer months would be back to normal, soon” say the denizens of the city.
