Chennai: R. Senthilkumar, a senior Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, has assumed charge as the Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM) of Southern Railway with effect from June 2, 2026.
Before taking over as PCCM, Senthilkumar served as the Chief Commercial Manager (Passenger Marketing) of Southern Railway. He also held additional responsibilities as Chief Claims Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, playing a key role in the zone’s commercial and administrative functions.
With a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, Senthilkumar has made notable contributions to railway operations, passenger services, safety, and commercial management. His extensive experience has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery across various assignments.
Recognised for his exemplary service, Senthilkumar has received several prestigious honours, including the Director General’s Gold Medal from the Railway Staff College and the Railway Minister’s National Award for Outstanding Service, according to a press release issued by Southern Railway.
