Tribal children abstain from school to join in anti-TASMAC protest near Gudalur.

Protesting against the apathy of officials, who refused to close down a TASMAC outlet in Paadanthurai and Moochankandi near Gudalur have , the tribals in the area asked their children to abstain from school and staged a road blockade.



The tribals have been protesting against a TASMAC outlet in Paadanthurai - Moochakandi area and demanding that the outlet be shifted out. As their appeal fell on deaf ears, they asked their children to abstain from schools, until the authorities close down the TASMAC outlet and staged the protest.



Dalit Panthers of India District Secretary Sahadevan led the protest, in support of the tribals.
