Auto drivers stage road blockade urging for their charter of demands.

Police arrested over 100 members of Confederation of Auto Trade unions who staged a road block condemning against bias in issuing permits to Cab aggregators such as Uber and Ola, by Regional Transport authorities.

In the protest in which auto drivers of over 11 unions participated near clock tower, it was alleged that the Regional Transport authorities are slapping penalty for not getting Fitness Certificate (FC) for autos despite a court order not to do so.

“Even though the Cab aggregators have their own fixed fair system, the RTO authorities do not interfere in their activities, but the auto drivers are harassed. The government should come forward to introduce meter fare in all autos and provide GPS" the auto drivers demanded.
