K2K ride (Kanyakumari to Kashmir) biking expedition flagged off

Coimbatore bikers club had come out with a unique “Save Water awareness ride” from Kanyakumari to Kashmir (K2K ride). Mohammed Nawaz, President, CBC public welfare Trust flagged off the expedition here today.



 

The four member team consists of Karthik (alias) China Karthik, Sandeep Rajan, Kavisan and Stephen Ajay. The expedition members, all young business entrepreneurs will be kick starting their expedition after reaching Kanyakumari as per the schedule. The team- members use the Royal En field bikes for the long journey.



 

Speaking to Media at the Coimbatore bikers club the team members said “K2K team would go on expedition for 45 days from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, to spread awareness on conserving and saving water. During the expedition they would conduct awareness programmes and events and activities of spreading water awareness programs in   rural panchayats, schools, educational institutions, primary health centers, highways, and important public squares during their journey. Pamphlets, display banners will be sued on themes such water recycling, water recharging, renovation of ponds and rain water harvesting systems during the expedition.
