Less than a hour ago, a tanker carrying petroloeum capsized on the Gudalur to Ooty road. Fortunately, the tanker did not catch up fire thereby averting a major mishap. The traffic was halted for a brief time which was cleared after the arrival of fire service and police Personnel.
Following the incident, loads of petrol leaked from the capsized tanker, people including passersby and local collected the petrol in cans and buckets.
