Panic in the city as a relative who questioned a man's personal love life was murdered.
Coimbatore: Krishnakumar (36) driver who hails from Kinathukadavu near Metupalayam was into homosexual relationships. Neighbours near a farm in Sulakal who witnessed Krishna and another man having homesexual affair warned them and chased them out of the area.
On hearing this incident Nandhakumar (20) who was Krishna's relative warned Krishna over having homosexual relationships which became an argument almost immediately. This apparently went into a physical tussle as Krishna's confession later revealed.
Later after this incident, Nandhakumar was admitted to the Pollachi Government hospital with grave injuries to his head. Relative's said that Nandhakumar was in a motorcycle accident which caused the injury and he was then taken to Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment. But Nandhakumar was pronounced dead today after he became non responsive to the treatment.
Kinathukadavu police who was investigating the case in his autopsy reports found that Nandhakumar had a bruise on his head which was the reason of his death.
Inspector Murali and Sub Inspector Jebakumar intensified the investigation and found that Krishnakumar had murdered Nandhakumar over personal dispute. Post this Krishnakumar was arrested and was taken into custody.
In his confession Krishna said he was in a homosexual relationship and that Nandhakumar who was homophobic ridiculed him about being a homosexual person and joked on how his family were forcing him to get married to a woman.
He also said that it made him furious and that he killed Nandhakumar and convinced his relatives that it was an accident.
This incident shocked the public of the surrounding and created panic.
