Leopard mauls bull near Valparai, locals demand trapping the animal on prowl

A two-year-old bull owned by Anbazhagan of Kamarajnagar in Valparai has been mauled by a leopard which was on the prowl in the area.

A two-year-old bull owned by Anbazhagan of Kamarajnagar in Valparai has been mauled by a leopard which was on the prowl in the area.



According to sources, the bull had gone into the pastures for grazing and did not return home in the evening along with other cattle.

The worried owner of the cattle had launched a search for the missing bull, and he had found the carcass of the bull near Savarankadu estate area, following which Sakthivel, Forest Ranger rushed to the spot and inspected the carcass.

The alarmed residents have said that the leopard has been moving in the area for a long while and it should be trapped and released into the deep forest area.
