Applications Invited for Legal Advisor to Coimbatore Superintendent of Police

The Coimbatore District Police have invited applications from eligible advocates for appointment as Legal Advisor to the Superintendent of Police. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of ₹20,000. Applications must reach the SP’s office by 5 p.m. on July 24.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Police have invited applications from eligible advocates for appointment as the Legal Advisor to the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore District.

The Legal Advisor will be responsible for rendering legal opinions and guidance to the Superintendent of Police on administrative matters as well as criminal law issues. The appointee will also be required to refrain from appearing in or undertaking any legal proceedings that are contrary to the interests of the Police Department.

Applicants must possess a recognised Law Degree and be enrolled with the Bar Council. They should have a minimum of five years of practice before the District Courts and/or the High Court and must not have any criminal cases pending against them.

The position carries a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹20,000.

Eligible advocates interested in the appointment have been asked to submit their applications to the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore District, on or before 5 p.m. on July 24, 2026.
