Drunk man creates flutter after he scales high voltage transmission tower near Tiruppur

Selvaraj (25) of Annanagar, Perumanallur road near Tiruppur created a flutter after he scaled a high voltage transmission tower and threatened to jump from there.

Selvaraj (25) of Annanagar, Perumanallur road near Tiruppur created a flutter after he scaled a high voltage transmission tower and threatened to jump from there.

Onlookers alerted Police and Fire Service who rushed to the spot and pleaded with him for to close to four hours to get him down.

It is said, Selvaraj, a married man is living with his sister after alienation with his family and he got into a quarrel in the TASMAC shop as the salesman refused to give change for Rs. 2,000 note.

Upset over this the tippler clambered on to the tower and threatened to end his life. Later he was sent to Tiruppur Government Hospital for treatment.
