As a part of the tenth edition of the on-going Coimbatore Vizha which was flagged off on January 5, the NSS wing of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science had organised a cleaning drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The NSS volunteers hosted people- friendly initiatives at Pappanaickenpalayam area by organising street plays, themed dances, wall paintings and door to door campaigns to educate the public on various issues like cleanliness, to refrain from open defecation and source segregation of wastes.
SNR Sons Charitable Trust's Joint Managing Trustee, D. Lakshmi Narayanaswamy felicitated the awareness event.
Chief Business Officer, Swathi Rohit, SRCAS Principal and Secretary Dr. K. Karunakaran, Young Indian Chair, P Krishna along with 200 NSS volunteers took part in the event.
