Coimbatore, January 03:
Even though actor Rajnikanth has made clear his desire to enter politics and it is a welcoming move, nothing could be said about it unless he makes clear of his new party and its action plan said SP Velumani, Minister for Municipalities.
While briefing the media at the airport, the minister said that the works for metro train scheme in the city would be expedited and it would be implemented without disturbing the alignment of proposed bridge in Avinashi road.
While noting that there are some contradictions in the conception of Smart City project and AMRUT, the minister said that it is the same all over the country. However, he said Tamilnadu has emerged second in the implementation of AMRUT and implementing Smart City project with vigor.
The minister said that the MLAs meet was a regular one and the legislators were impressed upon on how to conduct themselves in the assembly. However no such suggestion was given to TTV Dinakaran, the minister quipped.
While noting that no formal complaint has been received with regard to drinking water contamination in RK Nagar, even though TTV Dinakaran has raised it. However, if complaints are received it would be taken to the attention of the Chief Minister and remedial action taken’ SP Velumani said.
