Tirupur: In a heart-wrenching incident, a young man lost his life in a car accident near Udumalaipettai, Tirupur district, just weeks before his wedding. The victim, identified as Gokulnath, was the son of Sami alias Sivaraj, a prominent AIADMK figure from Anna Colony in Udumalaipettai.

The tragic event unfolded when Gokulnath was driving near Anthiyur area.

His car reportedly lost control, veered off the road, and plunged into a nearby canal, overturning in the process. Unfortunately, Gokulnath, who was not wearing a seatbelt, became trapped under the vehicle and died on the spot.

What makes this incident particularly poignant is that Gokulnath was in the midst of distributing wedding invitations for his upcoming nuptials, scheduled for November. The sudden loss has plunged his family and relatives into deep sorrow, turning what should have been a joyous occasion into a time of mourning.
