Tirupur: In Tirupur, due to heavy rains today, the people of Tirupur-Palladam road, Nochipalayam section of the road, were suffering due to stagnation of sewage water along with the rainwater.

Due to heavy rains in Moolakadai area of Nochipalayam section of Palladam Road, Tirupur, which falls under the 53rd ward of Tirupur Corporation, water has accumulated like a pond.

Due to the lack of adequate drainage facilities for the rainwater to drain out, the sewage water mixed with the rainwater and the sewage water got accumulated on the road causing a lot of inconvenience to the motorists.

The residents of the area have also demanded that the storm water drain, which has been a long-standing problem, should be constructed and the water drains out as the rainwater is likely to get infected due to the onset of the rainy season.
