Actor Kamal Haasan was in the city to launch the book 'Sathya Sodhanai' written by a local author Aandal Priyadarshini. The book, a translation of M K Gandhi's 'My Experiments With Truth' is the author's fifth book.
Aandal said that she has always been influenced by Mahatma Gandhi and had worked closely with poet, Puviarasu. "Today, parents tend to focus on money rather than ethics and good values. Parents raise their children to be money-making machines, forgetting other values such as strength of character," she said.

But when they began researching on Gandhi and went through every material written about him including those written by his dissenters, he decided to change the story.
