Residents of Panamathur seek fixing of drinking water pipe.

In Panamathur area which is close to Poosaripalayam, the residents have alleged that since three months the drinking water pipeline has been 24/7 leaking causing wastage of water. The residents have escalated the issue to their respective ward councillor, however the temporary fixation was at vain, they say.

One of the residents also shares with us that the water that leaks from the drinking water pipe gets stagnated on the road. This makes it difficult for commuters and pedestrians to use the road. Additionally, homes in this area are constructed at a lower altitude thus allowing the stagnated water to enter the homes.

Considering all this, the residents of Panamathur have put forth their plea that the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) should redress their issue and arrest the leakage using permanent measures.
