Day six of Navratri celebrated with performance from R. Suryaprakash at Linga Bhairavi


Day 6, Navrathri celebrations: Between 7 am and 7:30 am Kumkum, Haridram, and Chandanam alangaram were offered to the Devi at the Linga Bhairavi. Abhishekams were offered at 7.40 am. On the evening of the sixth-day, of Navratri celebrations, carnatic musician, R. Suryaprakash mesmerized the audience with his performance.



Gifted with a ringing voice and crystal clear tonal quality in all ranges, Suryaprakash has been training in carnatic music from an early age of seven. Suryaprakash has performed extensively for two decades in major festivals in India and overseas including the December Music Season in Chennai, Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana, Chicago Thyagaraja Utsavam, Festival of Asia, Melbourne, Thyagaraja Fest, Durban, SIFAS, Singapore and Thyagaraja Fest, London.

A procession of Utsav Murthy took place after Suryaprakash’s performance. A group of Isha Brahmacharis did a fire dance performance. The evening concluded with Annadhanam or offering of food to all devotees.
