Balloons with message in Urdu 'Pakistan will take revenge' fly into Punjab after surgical strikes

Days after Indian Army's surgical strikes across the LoC, green and yellow-coloured balloons with messages written in Urdu were found in different areas of Punjab.

While two balloons with the note were found at Ghesal village in Dina Nagar town of Gurdaspur district, balloons were also found in Pathankot, Faridkot and Kartarpur.

The balloons had different messages written on them, but all had the same theme- Pakistan will certainly take revenge.

BALLOONS HAD MESSAGE IN URDU - INDIA WILL BE ULTIMATELY DESTROYED BY KASHMIRIS

Reportedly, a village watchman first found the balloon near his house on Friday. He immediately informed the Dina Nagar Police Station and the police is investigating.

The balloon found by the watchman had a note written in Urdu, which, when translated read "India will be ultimately destroyed by Kashmiris".

According to a report in PTI, the message attached with one of the balloons was addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The police reportedly translated the message. It read, "Modiji, Ayubi ki talwaren abhi hamare paas hain. Islam zindabad."

PAKISTAN RETALIATION LIKELY, VILLAGES IN PUNJAB EVACUATED

Notably, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was visiting the border districts of Gurdaspur and Pathankot on Saturday to monitor the arrangements made for the villagers who have been evacuated in the apprehension of retaliation from Pakistan to the Army's surgical strikes.

In July, the police had recovered a balloon from Jhande Chak village near Dinanagar. It had a picture of the Pakistani flag painted, along with 'I love Pakistan' written on it.

It may be recalled here that last year, Gurdaspur had witnessed a terrorist attack where heavily-armed terrorists stormed into a police station in Dina Nagar  town, killing seven personnel, before they were gunned down by the security forces.
