Teenager arrested for stabbing two persons

Ramanathapuram Police arrested a 14-year-old boy on Monday for allegedly stabbing two persons over a clash.

The boy and his three friends were members of a jamab (folk musical instrument) group.

The complainant K. Ponraj (23) and his friends Vignesh (23) and Vijayakumar (24) from Alamelu Mangammal Layout in Puliyakulam belonged to another jamab group. The police said that there was enmity between them due to competition in business and on Monday the boy attacked Vignesh and Vijayakumar with a knife. The injured were admitted to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. The teenager was arrested and lodged in the Juvenile Home in Coimbatore.
