Four mynas stuck to glue traps near Vadavalli were rescued on Saturday morning.
After calls from the public, Animal Rescuers, an NGO, reached the spot and secured the birds that were found stuck to improperly disposed rodent glue traps, to their shelter.
Vinny R. Peter of Animal Rescuers said that it approximately took five hours to clean the glue off their body and that one among the four mynas laid an egg while stuck to the trap, which could not be helped.
She also said that, post rescue, two birds were released on Monday morning and the other two birds are kept under observation.
