The Nilgiri Biosphere Nature Park (NBNP), offers a perfect get away - Nestled in the gently rolling hills of Anaikatti, 32 km from Coimbatore lies the beautiful and resplendent Nilgiri Biosphere Nature Park (NBNP).
70 acres of barren land has been reforested and with over 350 native species of trees earning it several prestigious international Botanical awards. An initiative of The Coimbatore Zoological Parks and Conservation Centre (CZPCC), the park is a testament to 3 decades of perseverance and conservation work.
Open throughout the week from 9am - 5pm (except Tuesdays), a visit to the park is an eye-opener. Offering the visitor a chance to connect, rejuvenate and learn about rare medicinal and endemic plants that inhabit the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. A perfect combination of leisure and infotainment.
The forest is also home to many animals - those lucky enough could see spotted deer or elephants. The park is a treasure house of myriad tiny creatures and beautiful birds that flit from tree to tree. The entire experience is further enhanced by having a knowledgeable guide who leads you through the stone pathway pointing out the Devils Tree or having you hold leaves that are gold and silver. End your walk with a visit to our nursery where you can buy plants native to the Western Ghats and some medicinal plants for your home.
For Corporates, Schools and Colleges NBNP is also well equipped with a an all-weather Amphitheatre that provides a venue for events and other programs throughout the year. Accommodating around 250 people the outdoor arena provides an exciting venue for your program.
