Condemning against the controversial appointment of CEO for Smart City Project the Bharthiya Janata Party, staged a massive agitation here in front of South taluk office.
Led by Vanathi Srinivasan, State BJP State General Secretary the agitation demanded to nullify the appointment of R.Sukanya, an inexperienced person appointed for the post of CEO appoint an experienced person in her place.
Later Vanathi Srinivasan told the media, that favoritism has played a role in appointing a novice as the head of major city modernization project in which over Rs.1,500 is being spent for infrastructure development of the city.
The incumbent Sukanya, is appointed to the plush post for being the daughter of K.P.Raju, a former AIADMK MLA who is a close crony of Minister SP Velumani.
“CCMC Commissioner Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan should resign from the post for appointing a green horn as CEO at the behest of Minister SP Velumani”, Vanathi Srinivasan said.
