Police arrested Santhanam (45) of Tirunelveli an impersonator who contacted the many hotels and business establisinments after identifying himself as district collector and extorted money from them in Ooty.
According to police, the said person had contacted a popular hotels and a finance company in Charring cross area and extorted money from them.
Based on a complaint police arrested the person and he was remanded in custody.
