Ilayathalaimurai, and youth organization which is in the forefront social service has come a long way since its inception six months ago.
The youth forum while enlisting youngsters in social service at grass roots levels want the youngster to bring about social change at the local panchayat level in each district.

With growing membership in 9 districts including Coimbatore, Sholingar, Kanchipuram, Samayanallur, Sivakasi, Namakkal and Karur the youth have been involved in various social service activities.

From extending Rs.2.5 lakh financial aid to the families of farmers who have died under duress in Tiruvarur and Erode districts, to conducting blood donation camp in Kakithapuram and tree planting campaigns in Sholingar the youth movement has also extended Rs.80, 000 educational assistance to five impoverished students.
In the fourth meet of volunteers which was held in the city, the volunteers who excelled in social service were given merit certificates. A discussion on media’s role in social change was also organized on the occasion in which Viswhwa Viswanath and Senthalai Gouthaman spoke.
