Even though the merger between rival factions of AIADMK is effected, the party could not escape from the clutches of BJP at the center said Thirumavalavan, Coordinator of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi.
Briefing the media, Thirumavalavan, who is on a visit to the city to participate in Makkal Medai, a platform for secular forces, said that factionalism would continue in AIADMK despite the merger.
“I doubt whether there would be no discipline and unity among the AIADMK leaders, and there would be a possibility of a third camp emerging in the AIADMK”, Thirumavalavan said.
While supporting the twitter post of actor Kamal Hassan denouncing the merger, Thirumavalavan said that the stand taken by TTV Dinakaran might affect the continuation of the present government in the state.
While expressing his view of the converting the Poes garden residence of Jayalalithaa into a memorial, he said even if there is no will left behind by the late leader, there is nothing wrong in converting the residence into a memorial he said.
