Pumpsets spare parts manufacturers petition Collector to scale down GST levy

Condemning against the steep hike in GST levied on pump set spare parts and compressors, the SME industry members who run spare parts manfaturing units petitioned District Collector T.N.Hariharan to scale down the GST to the earlier 5%.



The roll out of GST regime has affected the prospects of SME companies as the production orders are being given to them on the basis of GST compliance and numbers.



The rise in GST for farming equipments such as pump set have affected the farming community and its manufactures and a GST scale down would help revive the sector they said.
