Software Engineer from Coimbatore to travel 6000 kms in bike to create awareness on child abuse

The rising incidents of child abuse has definitely set the alarm bells ringing in the nation. It's become a common phenomenon these days to read about a 10 year or a 11 year old giving birth along with incidents of 8 months old baby being abused.

'Children giving birth to Children' is nothing but a national shame. Despite welfare organisations, NGOs fighting tough against the issue to create awareness among the parents and children, incidents of child abuse are still on a rise.

Grieved by such child abuse incidents, Dhandapani Loganathan, a software engineer from the city has kick-started a two-wheeler rally to educate the public on child abuse.

Covering 13 states including Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and others, which would cover around 6000 kms, Dhandapani started his lone bike journey from Kashmir on the Independence day and intends to reach Kanyakumari on the 24th of August.

During this awareness journey, Dhandapani plans to educate the public of both rural and urban areas on child abuse and child safety.
