Police detained over 10 students who allegedly interrupted the Independence Day celebrations at the VOC grounds and released them later.
The 10 odd students had come to the Independence Day celebrations venue tried to petition Collector praying for cancellation of Public exam for Plus one. When the Police denied them permission to approach the District Collector T.N.Hariharan, who was waiting to unfurl the national flog the students stay put in the venue pressing for the demand.
Later the Police arrested and took away the students, who were later released.
