Condemning the double murder of Power loom owners near Karumathampatti and demanding police security to their profession, the power loom owners and workers staged a demonstration in front of power house here today.
The agitationists condemned double murder of Power loom owners Kumarasamy (65) and his wife Sundarambal (58) Vaikalpalayam near Karumathampatti a few days back.
The murderer had taken away their belongings including jewels and cellphone of the couple looted the house. The couple were running the power loom in their own farm house in Vaikal palayam.
Police investigations revealed Perumal who had worked in the power loom had murdered and looted the jewels as Kumarsamy for gain. The culprit also attacked and killed Sundarambal as she had witnessed her husband’s murder.
