Book written by Commissioner of CCMC released in an emotional event


The book written by Commissioner and Special Officer of Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan was released in an emotional event by his mother Uma Kannan here in the city on Saturday.

The book titled "Athuvum Ithuvum" is the second book written by Vijayakarthikeyan and was published by Vijaya Pathippagam. His first book was released when he was serving as a sub-collector in Kovilpatti.



The book which is about how to prepare for Civil Service Examinations was published by Vikatan Publications.

Talking at the launch, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Administration) and father of Vijayakarthikeyan, R.Kannan said that his son had converted his real life incidents into anecdotes to explain various things in life. 

Breaking down during his speech, Kannan, who had formerly served as the DFO of Coimbatore said that Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan believed that education was never a scale to judge to people but knowledge.

Participating in the launch, actor and artist Sivakumar said that the author had explained 14 aspects including belief and hospitality in a simple way. Professor K.Gnayanasambandham, speaker and cine artist during his speech, said that the author had done justice to writing.



There is Vanitha Mohan, Managing Trustee of Siruthuli also felicitated the author.

Sharing his experience, Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan said that he had learnt various things from many people. “I also did not want to repeat the same mistake again so as to succeed in life,” he added.



Talking about why he wrote the book, he informed that it was a useful spending of his free time adding that people should take some time off and spend some time for them. “Such things could give you satisfaction,” said the Special Officer.



He also said that he chose to write in Tamil to make people read Tamil books.
