Air force station, Sulur has hosted an Air fest in view of the Independence Day which was witnessed by thousands and school and college students and visitors.
The aim of the Air fest is to educate the youth about the services and instill a sense of pride in among the younger generation about the Indian Air Force.
While the static display of fighting arsenal of IAF including Dornier, Avro, and An-32 and Dhruv helicopters offered a treat to the visitors the colourful Air show display in which Dhruv, Antanov and Sarong helicopters captured the attention of all.
While a dedicated stall was set up to inspire students and youth about the career prospects in IAF, the Air fest have introduced to them entire range of war planes and its strategic importance to the people of Coimbatore.
