51 Army Personnel admitted in GH for dengue treatment.

The people of Coimbatore are struck in panic as dengue fever has been spreading at a rapid rate. This evening, 249 army personnel of various cadres who were suffering from dengue symptoms were tested at the GH. 

Out of which, 51 were confirmed to have infected with dengue virus and the rest 197 with normal viral fevers. All those who were declared positive for dengue are currently been treated in an isolated ward in the GH.

The Corporation has deployed additional sanitary workers at Red Fields officers club and training centres to spray chemicals and curb the breeding of Aedes mosquitos that spreads dengue. 

As more and more people with dengue symptoms are thronging the GH and private hospitals in the city, public are struck with fear. Among the victims are also pregnant women, children and senior citizens who are given additional attention at the hospitals.
