Police arrested Perumal, a power loom worker of Erode on charges of murdering a husband- wife duo who were the owners of the power loom, near Vaikalpalayam near Karumathampatti.
Kumarasamy (65) and his wife Sundarambal (58) were found murdered in their house and their belongings including jewels and cellphone of the couple were looted. The couple were running the power loom in their own farm house in Vaikal palayam.
Police investigations revealed Perumal who had worked in the power loom had murdered and looted the jewels as Kumarsamy had scolded him. The culprit also attacked and killed Sundarambal as she had witnessed her husband’s murder.
The arrested person was taken to a separate place for further interrogation.
