Private School Students demand medical admissions based on NEET score; threaten to approach court

Appealing to State Government not to press for exemption from NEET, a section of students studying in a private school in the city have stated that they have performed well in the NEET and hoping to get seats and admissions to medical colleges on the basis of NEET score.

"The students who met the journalists at the press club here said that the Government move to get exemption from NEET, by passing a bill in the assembly is highly disturbing to us, as we hoped for medical admissions based on NEET score", the students said.

"While dispelling fears that cracking NEET is not a big deal, as is made out to be by some sections, the students said systematic preparation is all that is needed to crack NEET, which is all India medical eligibility test", the students said.

“The Government should declare the merit list based on NEET score for medical admissions otherwise we have no other recourse but to approach the courts to get justice", said the students, advocating the continuation of NEET, in Tamilnadu.
