Residents of Oonjapalayam near Kaniyur have petitioned District Collector T.N.Hariharan to streamline the water supply system in their area.
The water supply system is thrown out of gear and we get irregular supplies, even though water connections have been extended to over 2,500 families living in the area and Rs.8,500 collected for individual connections.
“We only get less the ten pots of water which is easily lesser that what we get through the street tap. Repeated pleas have fallen on deaf ears of the authorities” the residents who thronged the collectorate said.
